We spent some more quality time in the studio, as well as the city of Philadelphia in general, this weekend. Among the things accomplished:
1) Some more in-studio video blogging. You’ll get to hear Jay and I speak in hoarse voices and hushed tones soon enough.
2) I wrote a fun little bluegrass jam on Jon Low’s wonderful Taylor acoustic guitar. I believe Steve referred to it as a tuning that was “on crack”.
3) We fit eight guys into a minivan, with all of our equipment (and only four seats in place), singing loudly along with Say Anything to the bewilderment of all pedestrians we passed, and didn’t die or get injured. A huge plus.
4) We got Jon Low some coffee.
Oh yeah, the most important one:
5) All instruments are complete for the two songs we’re recording. Only vocals remain, from a tracking standpoint.
We’re super psyched for the tracks, and the show on Tuesday, and you all should be too.
